In this video you hear Bede Griffiths (1906 - 1993) was an English Benedictine monk and mystic who went to India to set up an ashram where people of all religions and none could come and meet to share their experiences and come to the Divine mystery themselves. He remained a Roman Catholic monk yet openly embraced the wisdom of the Indian traditions as he believed all religions have important gifts to share with one another.
He also believed that the reason and intellectual achievements of the modern West needed to be married with the spiritual and intuitive knowledge of the East, looking to the common unity in all religions.
