Folks keep asking us what kind of monastery is an intentional Christian community

Folks keep asking us what kind of monastery is an intentional Christian community. Some also ask if we are like a Catholic Worker House. First we don’t like to use the word monastery even though it is on our sign.  We are very small.  So we say a monastic community.  As for a Catholic Worker House, no.  But we have borrow many of their inspirations and ideas  for what we do here.  An intentional Christian community just means there are those here who are not monastics you have join us I helping and serving others, joining also in the fellowship of brothers and sisters, and in raising our voices to our Lord in praise and thanksgiving in truth and spirit. We’re not a parish.
